“Markets brace for 100-point Fed rate hike as inflation roars to new high.” maybe it will only be 75 basis point increase.
The last time the Fed hiked rates by 75 basis points was in the Alan Greenspan era: November 1994.
Some economists believe that “inflation isn’t peaking, but growing and still accelerating.
This has been predictable for months…maybe years. The Fed never solved the Quantitative Easing problem of the Great Recession in 2008. And then Congress piled on with massive pandemic deficit spending.
“Too much money chasing too few goods” results in Inflation. It is an old, repeated formula.
